Chemorphesis is a project dedicated to taking chemical concepts and putting them into human terms to make them more understandable. The concepts are first placed into short story form before they're storyboarded and transferred into manga/graphic novel format.
Our goal is to relate chemistry in a fun and entertaining manner. Chemistry can be tough, especially when you're reading about it in a textbook. By working concepts into stories, we try to provide a solid analogy to build an explanation and terminology upon. Hopefully, this will not only make chemistry more understandable for students, but it'll also make chemistry more fun.
Chemorphesis comes from a portmanteau of several words. Chemistry, anthropomorphism—or the turning of concepts into people, and synthesis.

Annie is a Biochemistry major at UCSD. She designed the website and is one of the artists for the project. She scripts, storyboards and colors the comic.
Angeline is a Biochemistry major at UCSD. She is the other artist for this project, and also in charge of coding and maintenance (and chasing down floating bugs!) of the website.
Dr. Haim Weizman is a professor of Chemical Education at UCSD. He is the faculty advisor of the project, and contributes great moral support.
